The Art of Letting Go

As a human we all have baggage. It is part of the human condition, it doesn’t matter if you are in the entrepreneur world or not. If you are running a business it will come up more prevalent and won’t be able to be ignored.

When we encounter an uncomfortable feeling, it is likely telling you something. Human nature is to shove it down and ignore that anything is happening. But in actuality doing this it creates an environment of keeping you stuck.

A few years ago, I could tell there had to be more to life then sadness and despair. But I really didn’t know how to deal with it. I would ask others around me, how they addressed these emotions. The answers I got shocked me. Most people really don’t know how to deal with difficult emotions. Most people often turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Which may include but are not limited to, Netflix binging, overeating, numbing out, and constantly scrolling on social media. All of these “coping skills” can bring on bouts of depression.

Realizing that I could recognize when I needed to address an issue that was triggering me. But what should I do? I was barely treading water in a mode of survival. It didn’t seem others had the answer either, this began my journey to learning. When we encounter difficult emotions, what should we do?

This began my journey of looking for healthy tools to use whenever difficult emotions come up. It has been quite a journey but I am grateful to have discovered some key things that help you let go. I’ve designed a short training to teach others these skills. It took me several years to gather this information, and it has helped me immensely. I hope it can be helpful to you too.
